Special Activities Program Requirements

1. Special Activities Programs for children including, but not limited to, athletics, crafts instruction, and similar activities, conducted on an organized and periodic basis shall meet local and state fire and health requirements and regulations pertaining to staff qualifications, staff's and children's records, swimming and wading facilities, child/staff ratios and grouping, transportation policies, and reports to the Department.
   
   
2. Special activities programs for school age children including, but not limited to, athletics, crafts instruction and similar activities conducted on a organized and periodic basis by civic, charitable, and governmental organizations, shall be exempted from licensure, provided that local and state fire and health requirements are met.
