7 AAC 50.010
EXEMPTIONS FROM LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
(a) In addition to those persons who are exempt from the requirements of this
chapter under AS 47.35.015, the following persons are exempt from the licensure
requirements of AS 47.35.005 - 47.35.900:
- (1) a person caring for a child in the child's own home, whether related
to the child or not;
- (2) a person caring for a child on an irregular basis of less than one
day a week for fewer than five consecutive weeks;
- (3) [C] a public or private elementary school program, kindergarten through
grade six, during normal school hours, but not before or after school child
care provided at the school site;
- (4) [H] a person that is certified as a family child care provider by the
United States Coast Guard;
(b) [H& GH] A person who has been informed by a licensing representative that
the person must hold a child care home or child care group home license may continue
care of children only on approval of the licensing representative and for only
a limited period not exceeding 30 days.(Eff. 1/1/96, Register 136; am 3/1/98,
