I just had a case of RSV in Jan. The child who had it here was 8 weeks and hospitalized because of it. I asked for advice on here as I had a 1 year old and a 12 week old infant and two 2 year olds. Basically they said a couple days, like fever free for 24 hours. I was so nervous about RSV because I have 2 nephews who got it very young and even at 2 and 6 years still have lasting effects of it. I read online that some infants can shed RSV for up to a month, but there is no way to tell if they are or they are not. The family I had ended up being out for 3 weeks due to hospital and then I asked them for at least one more week and they opted to stay out for 5 weeks until their son was completely symptom free.
