I don't know about anyone else, but if I had four 1 & 2 year olds w/o sippy tops at meal times...I'd be mopping non stop! They can all drink from a cup w/o one, but not on their own. 
I use the take and toss straw cups at times. Straws are supposed to be even better than regular cups since they take the liquid past the teeth (of course this is for milk/juice) We always have water avalible for the kids. But I have a kiddo now who will just cry for "juuuuuuuuuuuuicey!!!" And he didn't get that from here...
Dental work is expensive and most insurances don't cover a lot of dental procedures, so I'm all about prevention.
