I'm getting new tires for my van this weekend. Can I deduct any of that? I don't transport but I do use my vehicle for shopping and bank trips for the daycare.

I'm thinking that is a time space percentage answer. http://daycare.com/forum/tags.php?tag=deduction+-+car

Don't use your time-space % on any expense associated with your car. If you choose to use the standard mileage rate you can't claim any costs of the tires. If you use the actual expenses method, you can claim the business portion of the tires.
