Default Roaring

My 2 yo dcb has figured that that roaring at the other kids annoys them, so of course, he does it constantly. He's taught the 3 yo to roar too, and they do it ALL. THE. TIME. I think this sound is second only to high-pitched screeches for annoying level.

How do I discourage this? I've tried telling them not to do it, but they just look at me and giggle and do it some more. I've tried ignoring it and that just backfires because then the other kids get tired of being roared at and start yelling about it.
