Not Primarly Bussiness, But Daycare Only Reason Driving Car To The School

So on an earlier thread, Tom wrote that you can only count a trip for miles if it is primarily for bussiness.

I often take only one daycare child to or from the school my daughter attends. However, when I am not going to her school she walks so can I take that trip for miles.

If you are saying that when it's only your daughter going to school, she walks, and that when you are taking a day care child to school you also take your daughter - then you can count this trip as a business trip. Clearly, the primary purpose is business, because you don't otherwise use your car to go to school.

Thank you, yes that is exactly what is happening when it only my daughter the car says home.
