I have a 4 year old dcb who thinks everything is funny when it comes to discipline. If he gets into trouble it's funny, if I ask him if he did something wrong it's funny, if someone else gets in trouble it's funny to him....it drives me crazy. The smirk on his face is getting to me!!! He also has no manners whatsoever so we are working on that, I just don't understand!!

Some people laugh when they're uncomfortable.

Discipline him as usual. Try to ignore the laughing. Tell him sternly, "No, NOT funny! NOT okay!" if it gets out of hand.

I'm pretty sure our parents would have smacked that grin right off our faces...

Ignore it...one of my dc girls, 3, either does that, or starts baby-talking "ga ga" when I tell her something. It's her version of back-talk, and I think perhaps SOMEONE thinks it's cute. I don't. I have started to just ignore it, and it has lessened considerably.
