How do I go about telling the IRS I have a business and pay quarterly and nit at the end of the year.? I have an ein number but lost it so how do I get it again

You don't ever tell the IRS you have a business. If you are filing quarterly, just send in the form. Call the IRS to find out what your EIN number is. I lost mine too once and called to get it.

Once you file an estimated tax form (Form 1040ES) the IRS will then know you are in business.
