do you have rug or something else. I have rug right now, but I don't know, if I should put a wood floor or something else. Any pros or cons.

I have tile throughout. I have a Circle Time rug (Lakeshore), a home center rug (wool, in orange), a discovery center rug (wool, in green), and a transportation center rug (a road map rug). Those are just soft places to sit and play. Everywhere else is hard flooring and makes cleaning up a breeze. Love it!

I have a 1" recycled rubber padding (safe for a 4 foot fall) with commercial carpeting over it on the main area with vinyl flooring on the art and eating areas. Hardwood floor throughout the rest of the house with travertine tile in the bathroom.

My daycare is in the basement/walkout level of my house. I have commercial grade, level loop carpet with area rugs to define centers/areas. The kitchen/entryway area has wood laminate (entry has a large indoor/outdoor mat to catch dirt) and the bathroom is ceramic tile.

I don't know if I would like hard surface flooring through out the whole daycare...the carpeting deadens a lot of the noise, kwim?

I have hardwood floors and in the center of the room is a weird carpet that is actually laid down (it looks like a rug). I put down a tumbling mat in one part to protect kids if they fall from stairs leading up to a slide. I used to have the foam mats, but really really really hated cleaning them.
