Not quite finished yet, but light at the end of the tunnel......
Moved out of our daycare house and into the basement of our home. Happy with arrangement so far and LOVING spending so much more time with my family.

Awesome!!! It really looks great! I think you'll love having it at your home, the commute from upstairs to down and back again is the best
Blackcat31 06:07 AM 08-30-2012
Wow! Meeko it looks absolutely fantastic!!! Nice job!
I love how warm and inviting the entire atmosphere looks!
Country Kids 06:58 AM 08-30-2012
Can someone put (if meeko doesn't mind) the pictures on the decor group if they aren't there. That way we can go back and look at them if we have need ideas.

What a great setup! It looks so inviting. Do you mind if I ask you where you got your wall decals that say Storytime, and Cozy Up To Reading? Thanks. Nice job!

So now that you've been working out of your home and in your new space for a couple of weeks what do you think? Are you loving it better than having your daycare outside the home?
crazydaycarelady 06:21 AM 09-26-2012
It looks great! I have my dc in my basement also.

So far I am in HEAVEN!
I get to see my husband all day.
I get to see my daughters off to school and am here when they get home.
The set up is running smoothly and the kids love the bigger back yard.
I get to start dinner early and so we eat as soon as we close at 6PM. Hubby is loving doing less cooking and prefers helping out with the kids. I love to cook, so it's perfect.
I turn off the lights in the basement at 6PM and go upstairs and forget about it until the next day.
Life is good!
Now if we can just sell the other house!!!!
rhymia1 06:29 AM 09-26-2012
If I could get a 1/2 bath in my basement I would move my dc downstairs in a heartbeat!
Chipmunk 09:47 AM 09-26-2012
So nice! Looks warm and inviting, AND like you have space to expand the toy selection when you rotate things!
I love it!!!!
frugalmama4 10:52 AM 09-26-2012
Why to go Meeko!
I love it...and I know what you mean "LIFE IS GOOD"! being able to turn off the lights and walk up stairs and then your home. This is the exact reason we're planning to put the daycare in our garage.
You did a super job!
DCMom 12:10 PM 09-26-2012
Meeko, it's beautiful! I LOVE it
You did a wonderful job!
I also love the 4 six section shelves you have in the last picture, where did you get those? Looks like something I need to have
Having a separate area in your own home is definitely the best of both worlds, I wouldn't do this job any other way.

I got the divided shelves off Amazon a million years ago! They came with fabric totes, but they went to tote heaven a while back. Too hard to keep clean. I replaced them with boxes from Walmart. I actually prefer the clear boxes. Easy clean and I can see if they mix up the toys (a BIG no-no here!)
arbindsahoo 02:34 AM 01-29-2013
Your selections are very good.
LaLa1923 06:37 AM 01-29-2013
Very nice! ! I want to come! ! Can I ask what's in your totes?

Legos, stickle/bristle blocks, Builders and Benders (Discovery Toys about 20 years ago and still going strong!) cars, other various manipulative sets.

The diaper shelves are actually cd shelves! My husband hung them on the wall above the table.
The green drawers underneath the table hold packs of wipes and spare diapers.
The beige garbage can is full of extra clothing in case of accidents.
