I am having an issue with dh eating food I have planned to use for daycare lunches!! He also will finish off the milk if I'm not watching him like a hawk!
Just last night, after we came in from church, he ate the hamburger buns that was going to be the grain for today's lunch.
I don't want him to feel as if he can't eat what is in his own home, but I really don't want to have to keep going to the store everyday to replenish what he has eaten. This is going to get worse because he works even harder during the summer and comes home famished. Should I just assign a cabinet just for the daycare food and have another for the family?

IMHO, that seems like the best solution. I would also feel bad if I had to tell my own family members they can't do something in their own home.
I think a separate cabinet is the easiest, most tactful and best solution.

I have some stuff that is shared but most stuff is separate. I have a shelf in my fridge labeled daycare and a cabinet labeled daycare.

I make family daycare meals two nights a week and then label them DCF.
The milk I have issues with sometimes, because I go through two gallons a day, so I just keep one in the freezer as back up.....
My family's food is kept in the pantry.
Preschool food is kept in a large cabinet.

I sometimes write on the food with a sharpie. Daycare snack for wed etc. It may be an easier solution if u dont have the room. My step kids eat all the snacks and im on the food program so i know how frustrating it is. I hide a lot of stuff around here.

The daycare lunch is usually what our supper was from the night before. I make extra and put it aside for that. I have my own fridge and cabinets for the daycare, but if I need to borrow from the house food I do and vise verse. My family knows I need certain things being on the food program ready available for the daycare and it works. If I were you I would designate cabinets and shelf in the fridge that are off limits. Nothing more frustrating to think something is there and then find out it not.

this too... I shop at costco. I come home and separate the food. I will take x amount for daycare and put them in a ziplock bag marked DCFood.....

Nope. I make a general plan of what we are eating each week. If dh eats it, I make something else. I don't want to start that fight with him

Nope, my dh eats different kinds of food anyway. I think my daycare food is "too healthy" for him

2 of everything!!
One gallon of milk for family, 1 for daycare! Use a sharpie, or masking tape with DO NOT TOUCH!
Family food runs out, DH should go buy more
