What kind of things will they look for when they come to my house? I'm planning my daycare in my basement so there is no kitchen down there. So what I'm doing is just keeping a tub to put dirty dishes in to wash later upstairs. Is this acceptable? I do have a bathroom downstairs but I know you're not supposed to wash dishes in the same sink as your handwashing.

Also, I don't have a "changing station" I have a changing mat I place on the floor and lay the kids on that when I change them. Will I get docked for that? I'm just starting so obviously I don't have everything in place yet but just wondering what major key points they'll look at when I get inspected.

That would depend on your state's standards.

I am in Iowa and I've read thru the manual but I didn't know if there were additional things that they look at when they come inspect as what your changing "station" was like, how you wash hands, etc.
