Does anyone pay there own children for working at their daycare? It sounds like it may be a little complicated, but worth the hassle.

Thank you for that info. My teen daughter just got her working papers and would like to work somewhere summer. I had always given thought to the possibility of her assisting me. I'll have to look into it. Thank you!

maybe i'll ire my 8 year old to clean up after all the kids are gone...

put toys away, vacuum, swiffer the bathroom, wipe down the highchair...about an hour of work a day...

Yes, I homeschool my 2 teenage boys, and I do pay them to help me. I don't pay per hour, but I pay them per child in my care. They each made over $1000 in 2010. I can claim their wages as expenses on my taxes, but until it hits somewhere like $5000 they don't have to file. It's not at all complicated, and you don't have to pay minimum wage. I didn't read the article that you posted, so I don't want to repeat what you have already learned, but if you have any specific questions, ask, and I'll do what I can to help
