SOS,
Never had this problem before..gave my DCM an end date of care for her son who will be going to kindergarten 4 monnths ahead of time and she's very unhappy and refuses to take him out before the stated date..Is it true my home, my business? Is their anything she can do?

Are you saying the mom is continuing to bring him after the end date? Refuse to accept child in daycare

Give written notice, per your contract.
I can imagine a parent having a hard time being terminated, but they have to accept it.

I'm not really understanding? You stated "refuses to take him out before the stated date". What does that mean?
Is she refusing to accept the end date that you gave her? Are you giving him an end date that is 4 months before he starts school? If so, perhaps that is why she is upset because she'll have to find care for 4 months, which will be difficult to do?????

She can respect your notice of termination and respect the date given as his last day.SOS,

It is YOUR BUSINESS & HOME. Therefore after the last date of care per the termination notice do not allow him to attend.

It is a shame that she was nice enough to give you 4 months notice instead of the required 2 weeks notice and got terminated for it. But yes you have the right to terminate any clients you choose Except for discrimination reasons.
I am sure she is hoping to talk you into continuing care for the 4 months but you are not require to do so. BUT be aware EVERYONE in town will hear what happens when they give you notice.

I'm confused. You termed a mom and she refuses to leave? No problem. Refuse care after the end date. Nothing she can do. End of care means end of care.SOS,

where are you getting this out of what she posted? Obviously one knows a child would be starting K in the Fall, I don't think the mom gave her 4 mos notice but the provider gave mom notice 4 mos prior to their original end date of when he started K. OP- what happened that made you end your contract 4 mos early? If you gave mom notice and she refused to accept it, well that's just crazy. I would send her a certified letter stating your end of care date and that's that. Don't even entertain her showing up to drop off. Say you no longer provide care for her and if she refuses to leave or leaves her child, call the police. Sounds like you got a nutcase on your hands.

I keep picturing the provider saying "No, I will not watch your son today" and the parent just leaving him anyways nd waving "good -bye" as she pulls out of the driveway.... where are you getting this out of what she posted? (OP, I am not trying to make light of your situation....it is just an odd one that is for sure. )
I couldn't imagine a parent bringing their child somewhere that no longer wants him to be there....

I can think of at least a few scenarios where it would make sense for the OP to give notice 4 months before the dc family was ready to leave but yeah...how crazy would it be to insist on bringing your child to a provider who basically no longer wants him in her care?!
OP, as long as you have a contract signed by the parent and are following your own termination policy, I would think the parent would have no other option than to find alternative care for her child. Even if you don't have a formal agreement with her, I wouldn't think she could still bring her child to your home if you didn't want him there. Hopefully, she was just caught off guard when you gave notice and has already begun looking for someone else. There must be other care providers who would be willing to take him on through the summer or a summer camp she could enroll him in.

Maybe Mom wasn't actually planning on sending him to Kindergarten this year? Perhaps she was planning on holding him back? Or sending him to daycare and homeschooling after hours?

Kinder starts here in about 4 months...I think maybe the provider told her that the child's last day in care would be 4 months from now (when he begins kinder) and Mom is saying she won't be taking him out then/starting kinder??? Maybe?
