Parents and Guardians Forum>Child Comment At Drop Off....Arghh

I have a family that is leaving me. We have issues with the youngest child being extremely aggressive and destructive. The older child is 5.

Tomorrow is their last day. At drop off today, with the DCD standing right there, the oldest child said 'Holly is so excited that we are leaving because my brother is so mean'.

The Dad chuckled and gave me a dirty look. I ended up saying 'that's not true, I am not excited you are leaving. I am hoping that your brother will learn to be nicer to people, but I am not excited'.

I am super pissed about her saying that. I am actually glad they are leaving, but now wonder what else this little girl has said to them that is not true. I would never say anything like that in front of the kids, no matter what I am feeling. Should I do damage control or just let it go?

no just let it go. you know you did not say this and you told the child so, in front of the parent. why waste more time with this family when they are leaving anyway? just let it go.

Let it go - she's probably just repeating what Mommy said.

Hahaha! Out of the mouths of babes!

Well, you ARE a little excited, aren't you? LOL!

Just let it slide off your back and move on.....it will all be over soon.
