Daycare and Taxes>Tom, Chiropractic and Cleaning Service?

Can I write off all or any portion of out of pocket chiropractic care (considering I lift infants and toddlers as part of my job)?

And what about a cleaning service? My thinking is that the cleaning service is 100% business because if it were only my personal home I wouldn't need it to be so extremely clean, it would get dirty so much so fast, and I would have the time to clean it myself. I probably can't claim 100% though since they're cleaning the shower and personal bedroom though, but could I claim some of it????

Here's an article Tom wrote that I found helpful, but I sure would like a lot more information on it! http://www.tomcopelandblog.com/2011/...eductible.html

Are health maintenance accounts still available through banks, and will they work for the tax deductions in the same way that you suggest TASC?

No deduction is allowed for personal services, including chiropractic care. Anything to get you ready to care for children (clothes, meditation tapes, eyeglasses, etc.) are not deductible.

A cleaning service would be 100% deductible only if they cleaned areas only used for your business. Otherwise, apply your time-space %.

Such accounts are tax deductible as a personal expense, but they don't reduce your social security taxes. Medical reimbursement plans are deductible as a business expense, so it would reduce your taxes more.
