Default So You Wear Makeup

do you dress yourself up? I wear jeans and t shirt and hoodies all the time, and my hair in a ponytail and no makeup.

sometimes I do and sometimes I don't.

half the time I don't brush my hair! lol, I always twist it in back and the push it up, then clip it. I've always done that. My hair is so thin I can do it, lol.

If I put makeup on, it's during one of the naptimes. Generally I do not wear make up, I save that for the "date" nights so hubby thinks "wow" lol. I do usually try to look good even if it's just casual clothing. Yes it's my business, but I don't feel like working with kids, crafts, paints, etc requires me to be in a a suit.

I wear makeup everyday, but that's just me worrying about my awful skin. I usually wear jeans and a decent shirt or sweater, hair in ponytail by 9am.
Sometimes I wear comfy pants.

One of the best things about being a nurse prior to this job was that we got to wear scrubs because I am not someone who likes to "dress up". That hasnt changed since starting my daycare. I still dont like to "dress up". I usually wear fleece drawstring pants and a long sleeve t-shirt during the winter and capris or shorts and a t-shirt during the summer. I do not wear makeup, or do my hair (other than putting it in a clip) unless I have somewhere to go during the day. I am all about simplicity, lol.

Sometimes mascara and some sort of lip gloss here. I agree, playing withkids all day doesn't really require looking my best!! Although sometimes it can make you feel better!

Blue jeans, T-shirt/micro-fleece sweatshirt (soft for babies), sketchers shape-ups (no foot or back pain, WAHOOO!), pony tail, lip gloss, O.O.O. spf 15 sunscreen lotion, shadow, mascara. Everyday

I am pale blonde/blue and NEED mascara .

That's it. .....oh, deodorant/antiperspirant

You would think that would be obvious but after working in large centers...well, it just is not

I wear my regular clothes and do the makeup, just because I feel not "dressed" if I don't.

No make up, blow dry my hair, and jeans and t shirts or sweaters. I always think "What not to Wear" is going to show up at my door someday
But seriously, why would anyone dress up just to get spit-up on, crawl around on the floor..., any nice clothes would be ruined!
For those of you that buy specific "work" clothes, do you get to write them off? Hey, do we get to t/s% our clothes? I never thought of that until now, does anyone know?

My mil did daycare in her home for 15 + yrs, we are in Canada btw, and this is how she did her t/s...

EVERYTHING purchased/spent during the yr got t/s. EVERYTHING! (she didn't do gas and carstuff because she didn't have a car). Food, clothes, toys, etc all were t/s.

I just wear jeans and a tshirt. Hair is usually just pulled back (made to look nice when we leave the house). I only normally wear make up when I leave the house.

I had mine made on Ebay and this guy did front and back for $9.00 each. I wear them all the time and have even had people to stop me and ask about my daycare

I shower, throw on some SPF, put my hair up and call it a day. I do the full makeup at night if we go out but then again I mainly go out for errands to like target and who cares there lol. I did go out with a gf friday for some drinks and actually had to go to the other side of the closet, the side will all my office clothes for when I worked outside the home last year, and picked out dressy stuff. A necklace too!

Man did it not feel odd to not be in my juicy track suit as I wear one every friggin day lol.

I wear base, powder and blush only. Save the rest of going out of the house LOL. Clothes: pj pants or elastic waist stuff, t-shirts, either long or short sleeved; socks or barefoot. Shoes only outside!

I wear black or grey yoga pants and scrub tops. Ponytail and a bit of makeup. If I get time in the morning for a shower I mayfix my hair curly and pin it back. But that means up by 345am. Lol that only happens once or twice a week. I take showers at night after my 2 youngest are in bed.

Make up and hair done yes, but nothing fancy... I wear jeans and sweatshirts or tshirts w/ a long sleeve under in the winter, capri's and tee's in the summer.
I have worn yoga pants on occasion, but end up feeling like I'm not dressed!

I wear makeup because I look like a zombie otherwise. As far as clothing, I'm all for comfort in my yoga pants. I wear nicer shirts that are comfortable because they make me feel better.

For me it depends on the day and how I'm feeling. If I only have my SA (who I have for only twenty minutes in the morning) I barely even get out of my pj's because I really don't care and the mom doesn't either.

If I have a regular day, I put on mascara, eye shadow, under eye concealer, and makeup because my pasty Scandinavian face looks awful otherwise. Plus one of my daycare moms is a knockout and my self-esteem takes a little dive everytime she shows up and I have no makeup on. Shallow, I know!

As for clothes, if I feel like getting dressier, I will, but I have jeans on regardless. My thinking is that I am a professional but I work with kids and need to be in clothes that move easily, are cleaned easily, and don't show off too much when I bend over to pick up the munchkins.

I'm sure you can get them made up anywhere, but I'm suggesting vistaprint website.

I dress as if I was going to the mall, make up and my hair either pull back, straighten or curls. I have to dress up a little if not I will feel depress.

Lipstick is about it for me - MAYBE if I'm feeling like I need to be beautiful a bit of mascara but I usually forget it's on and itch my eyes... then not-so-beautiful!

Work clothes are jeans and tee or long sleeved tee with either a sweater or sweatshirt that can be put on or removed as needed. Nothing really good because I'm constantly bleaching tables or helping with crafts and end up getting stuff on my clothes. Yesterday was glittery hearts - I looked quite glamorous when I had to go out shopping later.

Definitely a no frills girl here.

Since I actually leave my house...I wear basic make up (base, powder, mascara) and usually khakis type pants and a comfy long sleeve tee or short sleeve tee (in warmer weather) or hoodies (in middle of winter). In the summer I live in capri's or longer board type shorts and tank tops.

I am in LOVE with the Eddie Bauer Blakely fit pants...(smaller waist and bigger hips....(you know like an actual woman!!) LOL!! I used to do jeans but have found the EB pants to be less restrictive when sitting on the floor and getting back up all day long....now I save my jeans for the weekends. The second I get home though I throw on my pj pants or yoga pants.

I have like 4x the amount of hair than most people and it is course and naturally 1/2 wavy and 1/2 curly (but frizzy if I use no product) so I leave it down in th emorning but pull it up into a pony by days end. If I started with a pony it would still be wet by bedtime so I have to let it dry first. I do NOT use a hair dryer...(think Donna Summer from 70ies)

Flip flops in summer, Sorel boots in winter and Nike's in between. I am an outdoorsy gal and moving freely is a must!!

I checked vistaprint website.

Free tshirt! just pay shipping.

Hoodies range from 50 and up.

Polo's are 22 & up.

I always use the vista print website and then I just pick out the free stuff. You are only allowed 1 of each free thing, but then I just place a new order when I get my stuff

Usually costs me about 11 dollars for shipping.

I think this should be my uniform for work. And as for makeup, I watched my strange addiction last night, and she creeped me out! Makeup makes you age faster too. So it's best to use it sparingly lol.

thanks, I'm going to check vistaprint. Your right, this would make a better uniform than my tshirts (I take them from my 12 yr old)

I was feeling lazy yesterday and didn't do the makeup thing. Just mascara and lip gloss. One of the dcd's came to pick up, I've known him for 16 years and he says, "wow, you look really tired"
Guess the no makeup look isn't a great one for me!

I like to look decent. I know it's just kids all day, but it's my business. I wear jeans and a nice sweater in the winter. I do wear make up every day and do something with my hair, but it doesn't style well, it's fine, so i have 4 things I can do with it pony, straighten, headband, down with a small natural wave. LOL

I do. I sell my logos on merchandise at Cafe Press. They do a fairly good job. I sold one of these today: 1 x Nashville Trucker Hat http://www.cafepress.com/nashvillecom.70985139

I also use Design Outpost for logos. Here are a few of them: http://www.ccin.com/about.html (scroll down the page for the logos)

I can give anyone suggestions on what to pay etc.
