Drop-in vs. Full Time

I'm starting to debate doing only drop-in care. This way I could just not take ny kids on a certain day since my husband has a weird schedule. It seems like it would be better money since most places around here charge by the hour for drop in. So if I did like 2 or 3 days of drops I would make more then with a couple full timers all week. Does anyone do something like this? Cons pros please? Thanks ladies.

Pros: You have more free time to yourself and flexibility to say no, it's not a good day.

Cons: It's not guaranteed you will get 2-3 days/week so pay is not guarenteed, you won't know your schedule from week to week (but back to the pros you can say no if it's not convienent).


Basically you would be doing back up care but if you're not reliable, most will look elsewhere.
