OKAY....so I am having my inspection the 25th and supersyched! But I am going crazy looking at catalogs and everything because there is so much stuff that I would love to have and know I probably don't need.
So with all of your experience, what are some must have furniture equipment! Links are much appreciated! So far I have a table that could seat 6 children a small round table for crafts small kitchen set food for play some cabinets for wall storage I know I need: cots (prefer not to use mats) changing table (would like the one that attaches to the wall to save space) like this: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/70143208 my husband is building me a coat hanger with cubbies, something like this: http://www.discountschoolsupply.com/...&Brand=&Price= Any and all advice much appreciated! The wall mounted changing table is very cool, however I would be thinking about the older kids, 2-3 year olds that are not trained that have to get up on that. Just looks small, and might be uncomfortable for them and for you to lift them up all day.
Where are you in NY? I am going for my license too!! I live in Upstate NY, Lake Gearge region. Good luck with your inspection!! ![]()

I bought these nap cotshttp://cgi.ebay.com/6-NEW-COLORED-CH...item3cb531ada9, the kids love them. One says it's like sleeping on a cloud. I should point out that before these, they had slept on the floor on towels, so it probably is much preferable to them! I will say, I wish I would have bought them years ago! My concern with the flip sofa's would be how do you keep them clean and sanitizied?
If your husband hasn't started building the coat cubbie yet, one idea is to take a tall book shelf, turn it on it's side and screw the shelves in so they are stable. Place hooks on the inside and you have a coat cubbie. I tried to google it for a picture but couldn't find what I was looking for. As for must haves, I can't really think of anything that over the years I have found indispensable. I personally have never used a changing table, I have a storage unit for the diapers, they each have a changing mat, and I change them on the floor. Over all, my "must have" would be space, and right now I don't think I have enough of it! |
