Default Question for Nannyde-

I know you have placed your pick up times and prices for early pick ups, etc. on here before, but I cannot find it. Can you post it all on here again? I may do something like this next yr. and want to be ready for it, way in advance.

Thanks so much!!!!

Our rates are calculated differently than most child care homes and Centers. The rates are based upon the total number of hours per day and the departure time. The published rates are based on a maximum of a nine hour day. If you need more than nine hours per please add $5.00/hour to our base rates.

We have a different rate structure for part time. Part time is a minimum of three full working days per week. We do not provide drop in care. We do not offer half day rates.

Full Time Rates (2011) based upon a maximum of nine hours a day and time your child departs from day care:

3:15 p.m. departure $145.00 per week

3:30 p.m. departure $150.00 per week

3:45 p.m. departure $155.00 per week

4:00 p.m. departure $160.00 per week

Highjacking with a different question for nannyde!

Would your method of getting kids to slow down while eating work with a 4.5 year old? Spreading bowl food on a plate with a small spoon and given small bites a few at a time?

I have a DCG that eats so fast that she's done at least 10-15 minutes before everyone else but her bowel movements are full of food chunks and her movements are quite taxing on her because of the undigested food. She also has a HUGE appetite which I've read is probably due to so much food going undigested.

Mom and Dad are willing to try to get her to slow down at home if I tell them what to do. lol

The rates vary between each side of town drastically.

East, South, Central, and North are about a hundred a week for home child care is about a hundred for one kid ... 175 for two.

West side average is about 135-150

Centers on East side, south side, and central have a high percentage of State paid which net them about 155-160 a week. Private pay would be 160-180

West side centers are around 200-240 per week.

My neighborhood average is about 90-100 a week. Three years ago it was about 120. It has dropped dramatically in the last three years.

Centers here are about the same in price for one child- between $180-220.00 and in homes are between $125.00-$150.00 for one child

No sib discount but the sib comes in at the yearly rate as the first sib. I raise my rates five dollars per week per time slot. So if a sib is born three years after number one then their rate is fifteen dollars cheaper per week than a kid that would just start the day care without a previous sib.

I honor the rate table for the family thru the whole five years they are here. I only increase their rates or sib rates if they do a later departure or they need more than nine hours.

If I had two sibs coming into care at the same time there wouldn't be a discount. Sibs are more risky so I wouldn't take less money.
