Does Anyone Do An Author Or Book Of The Month?

Thinking of starting this and was hoping to get some ideas. Anyone do this?

I know this is an old post but I've done Eric Carle, Jan Brett, Janet and Allen Ahlberg, and a a few others.

Yes, we do a book of the month. I get multipacks from scholastic. For instance, during fire safety month we read Miss Mungo's Fire Drill every day and did weekly fire drills and talked about fire safety, went to the fire station, etc. At the end of the month, I sent home a copy of the book with each kiddo.
