Hi Everyone :)
I live in PA and I am considering opening a home child care center. I have heard some great ideas from the forums. I have worked in the Early Childhood field for over 20 years and my last two centers closed. I am very nervious about taking this on but I feel I will do a great job and it will let me be home when my children get home from school. I rent and live in a townhouse so I am concerned that parents might think it is too small. I would use my whole first floor (kitchen, dinning room and family room) which is pretty open. I think I am going to go for it and get started tomorrow on the handbook and contracts. I was able to take toys and things from my past centers so I have a lot of educational toys and books. I will have to make a list of all the other things I need. I look forward to interacting with all of you.
