wowee! Is he hitting milestones or is the size/weight holding him back? Some kids are just big but other kids really are over fed.

LMAO!!! I always get looks for my babies too....I'm a size 4 but I grow & birth 10lb monsters who breastfeed to weigh 20+lbs at 6mos. My 20mo son weighs 33lbs currently. They slim out as they grow, as my oldest two have shown. *grin*

DCG is 7 months old and weighs 23 lbs (!)f, wears size 18 months. Not sure how long she is...but man, does my back hurt at the end of the day! Mom is average and dad is tall.

My 2 1/2 year old DD is 22.6 lbs, and wears 18 month (but still to big around the waist) pants, and 24 months shirts. She is as of December 32 inches tall. I'm 5ft--112 lbs, and my DH is 5'10, medium to large build.

It sure is funny about genetics. My twin sister has had two 5lb full term babies. My niece is 21lbs at 2yo. But mine are twice that size at birth and as toddlers.

I watch a 6 mo old little dcb...he's 27-28pds...wears 12 mo clothes and not breastfed at all. He's as big as a 12month old..don't know how tall he is... Mom and dad are 6 ft something...grandma is 6'5".. Baby boy is not reaching his mildstones as of yet bc he is just growing growing growing. Way to fast. He's rolling all around but really hates being on his tummy. We have lots of tummy time but he can't hold his head up for long periods of time. He is breaking a tooth also.

yes he is tiny. my 2 year old weighs more than him and my four year old is easily 45 lbs. She is VERY tall and slender looking though. Its funny how things turn out because I am barely over 5 ft.

Sounds like my daughter. She is breastfed and wears size 18 month clothing. She was 22 lbs and 27" at 5 months. She is 7 months now so I'm guessing at least 23-24 lbs. Love me some chubby babies!

My sil had a chunky child in care who was breastfed. Dcm would "top him off" before they went anywhere (even daycare), so he was huge. My friends have an almost 2 yo who has to weigh more than my 3yo dd. At four months, he was like 18 pounds.

Both of my BF boys were 20lbs. at 5 months. They are now skinny minies. They stretch out and stop eating at 3.

Breastmilk does the body good.

You cannot OVERFEED a breastfed child.

Breastmilk is different than formula...'topping up' is biologically expected by a breastfed baby and is nutritionally needed. My fat fat fat breastfed babies have all thinned out into long, lean children.
