Since I am not full, I gave one of my SA the option of coming part-time for the summer. I knew that they wouldn't accept the much higher rate.
They turned in the new contract today. Yep, the child is coming 2 days a week. I wish I had just termed this family. |

Aw, that is a drag....
![]() Maybe you could just casually and slowly work them out....As the summer progresses, you could simply not have the space anymore and "have" to let them go. ![]() I tried to "term" a SA'er a few years back too by offering an astronomically high rate and the parent accepted and I had a miserable summer with the kid and it made it much worse knowing I had banked on them not accepting the new rate. Definitely a lesson learned. If you don't want a child in care anymore..it is best to simply term and be done with it. Hang in there....2 days a week with a higher rate is better than full time...iykwim?

I have had school aged children in the past. I don't care what you charge, it was definately not worth it to myself, my children, etc.......
I no longer do before and after school age. It was so not worth it!!!! Good luck!!! |
