Staffing Patterns
(a) There shall always be a minimum of two caregiver
staff in the center when children are in care.
(b) When only one staff is required to supervise the
children, as based on the staff-child ratio, the second
caregiver shall be readily accessible and available to the
caregiver who is supervising the children.
(c) For every group, there shall always be one staff
who meets the qualifications of a lead caregiver or
caregiver.
(d) When the group size requires three staff, there
shall minimally be one staff who meets the qualifications
of a lead caregiver and one who meets the qualifications
of a caregiver.
(e) These staffing patterns shall be maintained at
all times, excepting for the first hour and the last hour
of the operational day when a caregiver can act in the
position of a lead caregiver.
