Please note that Subpart (vi) of part 1 of subparagraph (b) of paragraph (4) of CHAPTER 1240-4-3-.02 ORGANIZATION AND ADMINISTRATION and that Part 1 of subparagraph (g) of paragraph (1) of CHAPTER 1240- 4-3-.03 STAFF regarding the requirements for fingerprint screening of applicants for Positions in Child Care Centers through the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) child abuse registry will not be enforced by the Department of Human Services due to the Passage of Public Chapter 833 by the General Assembly in 1992. This law delayed implementation of the TBI Registry for at least one year and the Department is in the process of withdrawing this rule until the General Assembly acts further on the registry.
