Cat Herder What were the events leading up to the injury?

It is hard to suggest a plan without following the pattern of escalation to find the root.

AnneCordelia DCB14mo just grabbed DCB 13mo by the face and was so rough that his fingernails cut DCB13mo's cheek. It did allow blood to surface although it didn't drip or 'bleed'. I cleaned it and put on polysporin and have left it to the air.

I've now got DCB14mo (who was a 'hitter' for a week when he started 2mo ago) shadowing me.

What do you do in this situation? Do you treat it like a bite in terms of repeat? How do you address the parents? I've never been in the situation where a child has physically injured another dck in such a way that I need to report it to the parent and I'm not sure what I should do.

I am unlicensed and there are no rules or guidelines I need to follow, so what do you do?
