Book Suggestions For SA's?

Does anyone have any good recommendations for books for kids ages 2nd through 5th grade? I'm going to try to build up my collection for next year.

I have a 2nd grader and these are her faves:

Junie B Jones
Ramona and Beezus Books
Rainbow Magic Faries Series
Diary of a Wimpy Kid Series
Captian Underpants

Those are good chapter books. My SA's love things like Guinness Book of World Records, Animal Encyclopedias, books about topics (nonfiction) like trucks, bugs, horses, kitties, etc...

Also,:
No, David
Where the Sidewalk Ends
Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs
Phantom Tollbooth
Goosebumps series

I am old school and they like my old favorites when I get them all excited about the story.

My son is in kindergarten (so cant read them on his own yet) but LOVES The Boxcar Children. Our library also has Berenstein Bear Chapter books and Arthur chapter books that he likes to check out and read (2 or 3 chapters at bedtime).

Some others may be Horrible Harry, Jerry Spinelli books (he's the author), A Light in the Attic, Runny Babbit, Falling Up.
