It's Been an Interesting 24 Hrs!

View looking up my road toward the canyon......a small fire turned into 1000 acres in under two hours. We watched the mountain explode. They evacuated a lot of people (we were just outside the zone) Our church became a shelter.
Then......at midnight it began to rain. This morning? Snow capped mountain. I believe we saw a miracle last night. |
This morning

Further back up my street this morning. Rain last night put out the fire and left us with our first snow kiss this morning.

I am near some fires but not dangerously close. Not orange here, but ash and smoke. The house behind me burnt down last week, the residents died, and I am still shaken up about that, so the fires are giving me anxiety and I am not even in the danger zone. |
