100% Whole Grain Muffins
 

I've tweaked a recipe to be whole grain and low sugar....and they are DELICIOUS!!!


100% Whole Grain Banana Muffins
3 ripe mashed bananas
1 egg
1/3 cup melted butter
1/3 cup sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup oatmeal (oldfashioned)

Mix bananas, sugar, melted butter, and oats in bowl. Let sit for about 30 min to soften the oats. Then add the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Bake in greased muffin pan at 350F for about 20 min. Makes 12.

Just had to come back and tell you these are amazing! I made them yesterday and will have them for snack today. Who knows if the dcks will like them. :rolleyes: Kids and their picky taste buds. But *I* think they're delicious and will give my FP sponsor the recipe in case she'd like to share.

I’m making them for our annual training, and giving out recipe cards with them.

Update: 3 out of 5 dcks loved them! The other 2 are siblings and there aren't a lot of carbs they like.

I have tried this and this are really amazing! Would recommend this also to my friend.
