I have a dcg that is 7 months old. she has been here for about a month now and does not seem to be ad adjusting. She is here two days per week and does nothing but cry all day on those days. It has gotten to the point that it is stressing the other kids out as well as myself. I need help writing a term letter. Thanks:confused:

Dear Parents,

The purpose of this letter is to terminate our child care agreement. I feel it is in the best interest of Timmy to discontinue care as I feel he is simply not adjusting to the care environment.

I have included the number to the local Child Care Resource and Referal and I wish you the best in your search for alternate care arrangements.

The last day I will be available to care for your child is April xx, 2012.

I am assuming you have discussed with the parent the fact that the child is having difficulty in adjusting so this termination will not come as a shock to them. :)

2 days a week is really not enough time to adjust, IMHO. I have 2 that used to come 3 days a week, running to the door, laughing. Now they come 1 day a week and Mom or I have to drag the 3 yo in the door. He's happy as soon as Mom leaves, though. The 1 yo baby takes about 15 mins.

we've all discussed this a million times and most of the providers agree that part time infants are the toughest kids to take care of!
