Swiss Steak Crockpot Style
I made Swiss Steak last week and I usually cook it in the oven. Not this time of year!
I dredge cubed steaks in flour, fry in oil with sliced onions and peppers. When you've got your cubed steaks all browned on both sides, place in crockpot. Mix together 1 can tomato sauce and 1 can tomato soup(if you have lots of cubed steaks, maybe double), then cook on low for 4-5 hours or so, can stay on warm til serving time. Delicious and fork tender. |
