YES!!!! First thing we learned in ECE 101 was that having boundaries and rules helps a child feel secure and safe because they are able to predict what happens next.
Every time a parent says to me "Wow, they are so good for you" or some comment in reference to how well behaved the kids are for me...I always respond with
"Yes they are and it's because I am not afraid to set boundaries and use the word no."
