I skimmed the Illinois regs, and I *think* a DUI wouldn't disqualify you from getting a day care license. Again, I only skimmed the regs, read them throughly and/or talk to Illinois licensing to be sure.
IIRC, in my state a DUI would only affect your ability to offer transportation.
