To the original question. My children don't like it. They are 14, 12, 9. I think alot of that has to do with me. I haven't had the best attitude about daycare over the past year or so.
This next year I am going to lower my numbers and not watch SA anymore. I am hoping it will improve everyone's attitudes!
Our community education has a babysitting program/training class that kids age 11 and up can take and it teaches them first aid and CPR and such. My DD took that class and she started babysitting at 12, but I personally know kids who still need a sitter at 13 so I guess it depends on the age.
I, myself, babysat for all my parent's friends when I was like 9 or 10 but I was the oldest of 6 and pretty experienced by the time was 9 so again,.....depends on the kid and the family looking for care.
