Dear DCF

As per my handbook/contract, a space is not sercure until a registration fee has been paid. This was discussed during our interview several weeks ago.

As of January 1, 2013 no contact or fee was paid for your child, therefore the open space was immediately filled with the next interested family.

I apologize if this was not understood during the interview but coupled with the lack of communication from you since then, I assumed you were not interested in the space.

If you would like to be placed on a wait list and contacted as soon as a space becomes available, let me know.

If you made it clear during the interview and they didnt pay a registration fee or contact you until now, I would send the above e-mail. It isn't your fault they didn't do as they were suppose to do to hold the space.
