Told all families in December that I was taking a week off when school ended but needed to wait to find out how snow days would affect school dates. End of February, I give exact dates to all families (4:30PM tomorrow I am closing and reopening for 3rd shift parents next Thursday). DCM asked me again maybe 3 weeks ago to write the dates down. I did.

She picked up 45 minutes ago and told me she scheduled a surgery but could only get in the afternoon and it takes 4 hours.....would I keep DCKs late next Monday and handed me the balance of what she hadn't paid Monday to sweeten the deal.

I proceeded to stare at her.....When I told her I wasn't open and reminded her of the dates she asked me to write down, she actually looked at me and said "oh yeah, I looked at those again, doesn't that start on the 5th or something?"

Obviously today is the 5th so that should be her first clue. But paying me what she was late paying me really didn't impress me either.

I am beyond thankful that my Vacation starts end of day tomorrow.
