It drives me crazy how parents expect you to be available at their every beck and call. I do sometimes offer extra hours IF I’m not busy. But you can practically hear the eye roll on the other end of the phone when I state I am not available due to my own plans. My world doesn’t revolve around yours. 🤷🏼*♀️ Also, I’m a human and have to take the occasional day off. It is rare, and I normally provide a back up. But if I have to close beyond what I’ve contracted (I allot myself 3 personal, paid days/year other than vacation), I’ll issue a credit for such days. Also, I normally extend at least a 2 week notice, more if able. Don’t get an attitude with me cause you didn’t plan for it. But, I guess I forgot — I only do this because I love children and don’t need the pay
