I used to work as a nanny. One year when the youngest child of my nanny family was about 1.5 I gave her a cozy coupe car for Christmas. They moved when the child was 4 and since she was their last child they gifted me so much of their toys and games as I started my in home the month after they moved away. Every time I go down to visit or they come up mom always mentions the cozy coupe and how they’ll be giving it back to me once their youngest (now 6, but a very petite and small 6) will finally admit that she’s too big for it. I just got a picture a few weeks ago of her in it.. knees higher than the steering wheel that said “I was hoping this would be the year she gave it up but it’s looking like it’ll have to be next summer” then there was a note about how it might get snuck up in the back of the truck under their luggage when they visit later this summer
Kids that age still want to be kids.
