School employess are certainly live scanned/background checked.
In California anyone that works with children has to be. Scout leaders, coaches, even the Team Mom. Priests/clergy do if they work in schools.
I can't think of one single state that doesn't require school employees, including the bus driver and janitor, to be finger printed.
