Im sorry, I dont understand how he could be pooping on himself for an hour at daycare, and no one noticed it or cleaned him up. Because you said you had to throw out his cot and blanket, I assume it was during naptime, so maybe he did it in his sleep??
...It kind of sounds like he was left to poop on himself for an hour...maybe its just the way it was worded.
