My husband had 2 DUI's from almost 20 years ago on his record and we had no problems. We are also in CA. I am under the impression that if they are the secondary on the license and they didn't have anything to do with children on their conviction, it isn't a problem. We had our fingerprints/background checks go through quickly. I don't think you will have a problem.
