I have a Dyson "Animal" and I don't hate it, but I don't love it, either. I would think for the $500 that I spent on it I would love it, and it sucks up an awful lot of stuff, but it misses or kicks out anything that's very big (like chunks of dried playdoh for instance).


I would check out Consumer Reports for their recommendations, since they do pretty extensive tests of vacuums.
