I am switching to daily rates from hourly right now, but I still only charge for attendance. Since I still have kids at home, having less attendance is a bonus for me when school is out. Even though one of mine is homeschooled, it has still been so wonderful to have an easier summer. True, I didn't meet my financial goal of paying my car off, but we did get vacation paid for.

I'm not sure that my situation matches yours tho. A lot depends on your market. The more that you are in demand, the higher you can set your standards. Maybe just start transitioning to what you want it to be.

I've started my two newer families on my new fee structure, and I've been working the other families out one at a time as the new school year is starting.
