My licensor said one time that when a complaint is filed, there is a series of questions they ask to classify the complaints priority level. If the parent answer that the provider termed them, then they know the threat level goes WAY down. Also she said that even though complaints are made against you and they have to be investigated. The only time it becomes public knowledge is when you are found to be out of compliance with a regulation. So they could have 50 complaints but if they come and investigate every time and no evidence is found to back it up the complaint the only thing that parents will see is that a licensor came out on such and such date and was found to be in or out of compliance.

This is in Maryland anyway.

I had a termed family report me that I was witholding drink from a child. Because I wouldn't let their 3 year old walk around with a sippy cup at daycare.
