We do all of our events dry, but I think it's because neither me or my dh drink and I HATE spending the money on it. Plus, if it is not all gone at the end of the party, it just sits on the top shelf in my pantry for ages.
BUT I have been to plenty of other kid parties that serve alcohol. I went to a dcg's birthday party where there were only 4 kids (half of which were mine
) and about 12 adults, all of which were drinking mixed drinks mid-afternoon (except me). It wasn't weird or anything, but I admit I was hanging out with the kids more than the adults
