I would assume (but can't say for sure) that if your doctor doesn't approve you to go back to work, then you can't go.
I guess I was just trying to clarify that there is no law that says any employee is absolutely guaranteed to receive maternity leave.
As far as taking an baby that young, I got "special permission" from my licensor to take this infant as the mom was a single mom with no family or friends in the area to help her out.
