So today DCM asks if her PT child can come one of her FT child's days because FT child will be home sick. I said NO. They see it as me just having one of their kids instead of the other but I see it entirely different. They pay 2 different rates, they each have their own sick/vac days to use and FT child will be leaving to go to preschool in August so I want to keep things separate. DCM looked a little taken back when she left and I almost started to second guess myself but the more I thought about it the prouder I got that I said no right off the bat.

I am sure mom was a bit taken back but only because she doesn't see it from your perspective.

It's hard to get parents to understand that and sometimes impossible but still...it is what it is.

Good for you for saying no and double high fives for not second guessing yourself!!
