This is your mistake, not theirs. You have no right to be mad at them, and you have no right to make assumptions that may not be true. Maybe they knew about it, maybe they didn't - you really don't know. I've gone several months without balancing my checkbook, and my husband makes purchases all the time without my knowledge. Yeah it's not very responsible of us and it's something I'm trying to change, but the point is this family could very well be the same way. You need to own up to your mistake and quit blaming them. If your going to be mad at anybody it should be yourself.
